Refugee Youth Economic Empowerment and Livelihood
Through tailored training and local partnerships, we provide refugee youth, including those with disabilities, with tools to engage in the local economy. From internships to launching their own social ventures, we create opportunities for youth to contribute to their communities while gaining valuable work experience.
We provide skill enhancement training, business mentorship and coaching for entrepreneurial ventures, enabling refugee youth to achieve economic self-reliance and reduce dependency on aid.
A range of rights must be protected here, with the right to education at the forefront. SRYV is committed to improving the economic and livelihood opportunities for refugee youth by protecting and advocating for the following rights:

Right to an Adequate Standard of Living (ICESCR, Article 11)
Right to Participate in Cultural and Economic Life (ICCPR, Article 27 and ICESCR, Article 15)
Right to Social Security (ICESCR, Article 9)
